Burst Pipe Repair

Burst pipes most often occur in the cold winter months when pipes that are not properly insulated freeze and burst due to the pipes expansion. The pipes rarely break at the point where they have frozen. Instead, they will burst between the freeze and a fixture where a tremendous amount of pressure has been created. This is why it is recommended that you allow a faucet to drip, allowing pressure to escape.
A dripping faucet will relieve the pressure but not prevent your pipes from freezing as slow moving water will still freeze. Your pipes must be properly insulated.

Frozen Pipes - Defrosting your pipes
If your pipes have frozen, we will use a "piping hot" machine to defrost your pipes. We then install proper installation to the pipes, preventing the damage from occurring again.

What can I do to prevent pipes from freezing and bursting?
There are several steps you can take to prevent your pipes from freezing and causing damage inside and outside of your home:
- Leave a faucet dripping (this allows the pressure to escape, preventing a burst)
- Cover exposed pipes in your yard, such as hose spouts.
- Open cabinets under your kitchen sink to allow warm air around piping.
